For
those contemplating the inclusion of aerial activities in their
Corporate events, the Association can provide an Air Adviser
to complete the necessary planning and integrate these air items
into their ground programmes.
The Association is
also prepared to review plans and procedures for current or
annually-established events and advise how these may be updated
in the light of current requirements and Best Practice. It can
give advice on the interpretation of the UK rules as laid down
in the Air Navigation Order Art 70 and Rule 5 of the Rules of
the Air Regulations. It also has considerable experience of
the implementation of the European Joint Aviation Authority
Guidance which has now been accepted as the regulatory basis
in most European nations.
Although the Association
can be contacted for advice through the Secretary at any time,
those proposing to stage an event should realise that there
is a considerable lead time, and planning for a summer airshow
should be started in the early autumn of the previous year.
Application for the inclusion of Royal Air Force aircraft has
to be submitted before the end of September to stand any chance
of acceptance.
